The question most English-first teams never ask about Arabic SEO.
Most Western-headquartered SEO teams approach Arabic as a translation problem. They buy or AI-generate Arabic versions of their English pages, hreflang them correctly, and declare the Arabic site "live". Six months later, nothing ranks, and the diagnosis is "Arabic SEO is slow". It is not slow. The approach was wrong before it started.
Arabic query behaviour is not the Arabic of the English content translated. Users search in a mix of MSA, dialect, English and "Arabizi" (Arabic in Latin characters with numerals), with no stable pattern across GCC countries. A "dentist in Dubai" query may appear in Arabic script, in English, in Latinised Arabic, or in a mix — and the SERP for each variant looks different.
The teams that win in Arabic SEO in 2026 start with query behaviour and work backward to content. They do not start with English content and translate forward. The direction of the work decides the outcome.
